Please read the comments and they might help answer your question re buying a tree for your garden. I have not seen any offered in the nurseries for many years. The one I do have is doing very well. It was a gift, from someone who saw this blog. Snow flurries are forecast! It's not all bad. Everything is green, the daffodils and tulips are blooming, so there are a few signs of spring. Sometimes we get sparrow hawks rather than turkey vultures. On the other hand I am deliberately turning my lawn over to meadow flowers! Pulmonaria? - we have the very same in our garden. The past few winters have been very unpredictable here in the northeast. The months of January and February brought record high temperatures in the upper 60's and now in March, with spring just three days away, Winter Storm Stella has passed and left temperatures in the 30's! Looking back at photos from last year at this time, crocus and hyacinths were in bloom with Daffoldils lurking not too far behind. This year the first of the crocus are trying to bloom above the left over snow and spring is delayed. Hoping spring will find us soon!Lee@A Guide to Northeastern Gardeninghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15208392136967108192noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3221106512530304517.post-83894096123270769632017-03-12T23:28:17.412-03:002017-03-12T23:28:17.412-03:00Hope you are well Bren. We have had some nice weather here, but the weekend took a u-turn back to winter cold. Now rumour has it a storm is on the way. I have a few snowdrops up, but so far that's the only sign of spring.
